ABOUT THE ARTIST

OLIVIA FAYE IS A CANADIAN VISUAL ARTIST, PERFORMER AND CHOREOGRAPHER.

 

HER KEY INTEREST IN THE PERFORMANCE ARTS FINDS A PATH IN CONTEMPORARY DANCE AS WELL AS IN THE INSTALLATIONS AND SOUND CREATIONS SHE PURSUED IN ENTERING THE ECOLE SUPERIEURE DES BEAUX ARTS DE MONTPELLIER, FRANCE, WHERE  SHE RECEIVED DNAP OF FINE ART.

 

OLIVIA FAYE ALSO GRADUATED FROM THE INTERNATIONAL DRAMA SCHOOL OF LASSAAD IN BRUSSELS IN BELGIUM 2010, AFTER INTENSIVE TRAINING IN THE ART OF MOVEMENT, PHYSICAL THEATER AND ACTING BASED ON THE PEDAGOGY OF JACQUES LECOQ.

 

SHE PERFORMS AND COLLABORATES INTERNATIONALLY IN THE PRODUCTIONS OF MANY DIFFERENT ART COMPANIES AND EXHIBITIONS.

IN 2016 SHE FOUNDED EQUIVOC’ TO PRESENT HER PHYSICAL– VISUAL ARTWORK AND TO OPEN NEW EXPLORATIONS IN SOUND INSTALLATION AND IMMERSIVE CHOREOGRAPHIC RESEARCH.
