Natsuko Matsumura is a multimedia artist from Japan who mainly focuses on art street photography and printmaking. She captures the natural behaviors, feelings of separation, and observation through her photographs.

Matsumura earned her BFA in photography at Hunter College.

Natsuko Matsumura is a multimedia artist from Japan who mainly focuses on art street photography and printmaking.

 

She currently lives and works in New York, and her work reflects the feeling of freedom she feels being in this multicultural city. She captures the natural behaviors, feelings of separation, and observation through her photographs.

 

Inspired by her own struggle to find an identity, her images call for self and social awareness of human existence.

 

Matsumura earned her BFA in photography at Hunter College. After graduation, she continued to study photography with Francisco Bravo.

 

Her work is displayed in private collections, group shows, and is a part of a permanent collection at Zayed University in Dubai.
